Theme for the monthTHE LANGUAGE OF A THRIVER

The partnership letter for August 2026

The partnership letter for August 2026

Dear beloved family of God

Welcome to the month of August, this year has sped by. In saying that, we can also say there has been an intensity of the blessing of God that we have not seen in the past. God is moving and opening doors for us we never thought possible. That is our God, the God of the impossible, who brings the “suddenly” into our lives. He has positioned us for greatness and the best is yet to come. Hallelujah!

The month of July we discussed the thinking of the Thriver and I trust you received something from every article. I pray that there has been a mind shift change and a pause in your thinking, to make sure you are aligning your thoughts with the thoughts of God. Should you be facing difficulties in this area, I suggest you invite the Holy Spirit into your day to day thinking so He can assist. Should you find that hard, please contact one of the leaders or Pastors and they will gladly chat to you. This month we deal with the subject of the language of the Thriver.

As a church we are moving forward and taking territory, God is closing the old doors and opening up new doors of opportunity for us as a church and for each and every one of us.

We are entering into a flow of prosperity and abundance we have never known before by the spirit of God. We embrace this change and yes there will be challenges but we know our God will never give us more than we can endure.

In this second half of the year, position yourself for the great things God has in store. Students continue to focus on your studies and show forth the glory of God through your results. Men and women, Fathers and mothers, which ever category you fit, be the best God has called you to be. I know for a certainty that our God has called us to be victors and not victims in this life. I see you walking in victory and good success.

Let this month of August, be the month, you sow your best seed to receive your best ever harvest. Love those who are not so lovely and show humility and patience each day.

We love and appreciate you all very much.

    Control the Tongue

“If anyone thinks himself to be religious [scrupulously observant of the rituals of his faith], and does not control his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless (futile, barren)” James 1v26

Our religion is worthless if we never take control of our tongue. If we just speak whatever we want to and speak rudely to people, how will we influence them. We have to …

Set your Course with your Tongue

“And the tongue is [in a sense] a fire, the very world of injustice and unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our members as that which contaminates the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life [the cycle of man’s existence], and is itself set on fire by hell (Gehenna). For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and sea creatures, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race. But no one can tame the human tongue; it is a restless evil [undisciplined, unstable], full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God.” James 3v6-12

James, the brother of Jesus, just has a way with words. He says it so clearly that the tongue is a sense of fire, used incorrectly it can contaminate the entire body and …

    A Tamed Tongue

“But no one can tame the human tongue; it is a restless evil [undisciplined, unstable], full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. These things, my brothers, should not be this way [for we have a moral obligation to speak in a manner that reflects our fear of God and profound respect for His precepts].” James 3v8-10

What a statement. No one can tame a human tongue. A wild animal can be tamed, a large elephant can be tamed, yet a human tongue cannot be tamed. What an indictment. A sca…
