A Wise Tongue
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“For by your words [reflecting your spiritual condition] you will be justified and acquitted of the guilt of sin; and by your words [rejecting Me] you will be condemned and sentenced.”
A wise tongue is sought after by everyone. This wise tongue reflects our spiritual condition because we understand that our words will either condemn us or justify us. We all desire to be in right standing with God, just as if we have never sinned. A wise tongue chooses words of wisdom instead of foolishness. A wise tongue chooses peace instead of contention. The wise tongue chooses their words carefully and knows the timing of words that need to be said. The wise tongue gives advice but also knows when to withhold advice. A wise tongue knows when to correct and when to praise someone for the good they do.
A wise tongue identifies issues, but finds the right words to slowly break down any resistance, so their words are received timeously. A wise tongue knows how to give soft answers as they are aware, that a soft answer does not cause strife. They walk with humility and discipline, not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring themselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences.
The thriver is known for their wise tongue and effective communication.
