Sound Speech

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you”
Tit 2v7

What is sound speech you might ask. It just means that when we speak we are sincere, uncorrupted and not condemning. We speak the right words at the right time. We choose our words carefully and the essence of our speech or communication is driven by love. We consider others when we speak. The fellowship of the holy Spirit refines our tongue so we speak words that build and not break down people. In all of our speaking, we consider others and never satisfy our own lusts of sarcasm and meanness. We do not indulge in our need to be in control and belittle people. No, this is not the way a thriver behaves. We may want to at times, and feel we have the right to, but do not allow yourself the luxury of division and discord. Indulge in the fullness of God and the Spirit of unity and grace. That is who you are and who God has called you to be.

In the midst of this sound communication, you now stir up the gift inside of you that begins to bless others and declare the blessing over their lives. You pronounce the favour and grace of God over the lives of the people in your world. You speak to your family and declare that they are blessed and empowered to prosper. When people come to your home, you speak blessings over them. You unleash the anointing over your home so every yoke is destroyed and every burden lifted. This is who you are. God lives in you and His presence fills your home and life.

The Thriver is a man/woman of sound speech, he/she operates as a king and a priest, always filled with the fullness of God.
