A Froward Tongue

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness”
Prov 10v32

A froward heart is a rebellious, twisted or perverted attitude that actively resists God’s moral guidance. God hates a froward heart. A froward heart is someone who continually devises mischief, sows discord and finds no good. We should definitely stay away from a person with this kind of heart or ever court this kind of heart in ourselves. A froward heart does not come from the fruit of the spirit. Its roots are in the wicked one, the father of lies, the devil himself. A person with a froward heart needs deliverance but first they have to admit to having ulterior motives. A person constantly causing strife or making comments that stir up rebellion should be avoided at all costs. Once we identify a person like this, we need inform leadership and let leadership handle the matter. Associating with someone like this will contaminate your own heart. The person is not a lost cause but needs mentoring to begin to understand the error of their ways.

There is a way out, the Holy spirit is the mender of hearts. The restorer of every broken person and the only person that can renew and transform. We just need to pray for a person with a froward heart and if the person with the froward heart is ourselves, then we need to go before the father and get help in the time of need. The Holy spirit will touch us and fix us so we are transformed and become fit for the master’s use. When our hearts are fixed, our tongue will follow suit. We will begin the speak the words of the father and live in the will of God. The tongue is connected to our hearts so we need to allow the Holy Spirit always to work on our hearts, for out of the heart, are the issues of life.

The Thriver guards his/her heart with all diligence, for out of their hearts are the issues of life. The thriver enjoys fellowship with the Father so they always keep a soft heart, to hear the voice of the father for their future and present.
