Spirit Filled Tongue

“The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, And His word was on my tongue.”
Samuel was a prophet. His mother had given him to God at about 2 years old as a result of a promise she had made. This young man then yielded his life to God so much so that he took over the priesthood from the Prophet Eli. Samuel served the people well because the spirit of the Lord Spoke by Him and the word of God was on his tongue. He was able to deliver the message given to him by God because he had a yielded tongue. He was not perfect, just yielded to God.
Family of God, we too are anointed, the anointed one and His anointing (Jesus) lives in us so as we feed on the word of God, we begin to speak the words of God. The word of God on our tongue begins to change us from the inside out.
If you were a person who was given to gossip, I can guarantee you, you will not stay that way for long. He soon changes you and lets you know that gossiping is not “cool”. If you are quick to find fault, slowly even this habit will fade as He fills your heart with love which then teaches your tongue to speak. It’s an amazing life but we must want it. We need to be intentional about yielding our tongue to the Lord and his anointing will change our lives.
