A Tongue That Refuses Division

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment”
The enemy is so excited when we are in strife. He delights in bringing division and discord so we can never be in unity. He knows the secret of unity, unity is where God commands his blessing. Where two or three are together, God is in the midst of them. The thief come to steal our unity so God cannot act on our behalf.
We have to be a people who refuse strife and discord. There will be plenty opportunities presented to us to argue, bicker or be in discord, yet we have to take the decision to walk in peace. The bible says, pursue peace.
But now rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, malice, slander, and obscene (abusive, filthy, vulgar) language from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self.
A thriver refuses discord and strife. A thriver is a peace maker and refuses to accommodate the spirit of strife at any time.
