The Blessing

“When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out with a great and extremely bitter cry and said to his father, “Bless me, even me also, O my father!””
The blessing of the father over his son was such a vital part of the transference of the blessing in the old Testament. Esau was the first born but the blessing for greatness and good success was taken away by Jacob. How did Jacob get the blessing. His mother told him to act as his brother and serve the Father a meal in place of his brother. The blessing was transferred to Jacob by words. The words spoken over him by his Father Isaac. It would seem like simple words but it carried power. These were words from a Patriarch, this was the son of Abraham. The blessing was transferred to Isaac by his Father Abraham and now that he was old and about to die he needed to transfer the blessing to his first born son. Jacob the surplanter was the recipient of the blessing. This blessing rested on Jacob and his 12 sons and they became the tribe of Israelites, loved and favoured of God. All because of words a blessing was transferred which carried through generations.
Family of God, use your tongue to speak forth life and blessings over your family. Declare the blessing of the Lord over your children, your wife, your home and everything about you. walk around your land or house and declare that your home and everything you own is blessed. The blessing is an empowerment to prosper. You have to speak the blessing for the blessing to take effect. Speak over your finances, over your property, over your vehicle. Speak, your territory needs to hear your voice. Within the blessing lies and empowerment which can only be activated by an anointed son and daughter of God. Go ahead and speak the blessing now.
A thriver understands his/her rights and privileges and the power in their tongue. Hence there is a daily declaration over everything they own. Even the earth is waiting for the sons of God to be made manifest. Change your environment by your words. Do not be afraid and do not stay silent. You have the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead, reigning in you. Speak, declare and proclaim. In the words of a king, there is power.
