Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    I Am a Team Player

“Walking along the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers: Simon (later called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishing, throwing their nets into the lake. It was their regular work. Jesus said to them, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.” Matthew 4v198-20

Jesus was the son of God, He was divinity in humanity. God had given him a mandate to come into the world and die on the cross, to reconcile man, back to God. As he journ…

Evaluation of Our Stand with God

“‘I know your deeds and your toil, and your patient endurance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested and critically appraised those who call themselves apostles (special messengers, personally chosen representatives, of Christ), and [in fact] are not, and have found them to be liars and impostors; and [I know that] you [who believe] are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and that you have not grown weary [of being faithful to the truth]. But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]. So remember the heights from which you have fallen, and repent” REV 2V2-5

As we walk with the Holy Spirit and engage him every day of our lives, there is always a re-alignment needed with our fellowship with the Father. We are all guilty of get…

    Parenting Without Anger

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you” Eph 4v31-32

Anger does not work the righteousness of God so we cannot give in to the luxury of Anger. We can be angry but let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us control our anger so t…

    The Will of God

“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18v14 Jesus in the garden before he was crucified, went to the Father, He was in deep agony yet these were his words: O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt” Matthew 26v39

As difficult as it was for him to offer his life, Jesus wanted the will of the Father to be done. The will of the Father was his earnest desire. He knew within the will o…

    Power to Perceive

“Go from the presence of a foolish man, When you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge” Prov 14v7

    Forgetting the Past

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us” Phil 3v13-14

The past seems to be so real for some people. The memories are so controlling that it robs them of their present. Anything you try to do becomes a hinderance to you as yo…

    Emotional Maturity

“Do not incline my heart to [consent to or tolerate] any evil thing, Or to practice deeds of wickedness With men who plan and do evil; And let me not eat of their delicacies (be tempted by their gain). Let the righteous [thoughtfully] strike (correct) me—it is a kindness [done to encourage my spiritual maturity]. It is [the choicest anointing] oil on the head; Let my head not refuse [to accept and acknowledge and learn from] it; For still my prayer is against their wicked deeds” Psalm 141v4-5

    Self Mastery – Accept Change

“As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He noticed two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And He said to them, “Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk], and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed Him [becoming His disciples, believing and trusting in Him and following His example].” Matthew 4v18-20

Jesus had a plan for Peter’s life. Peter was settled in a career at the time of meeting Jesus. He was skilled in his career as a fisherman. He was pretty prosperous and a…
