The Will of God
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18v14 Jesus in the garden before he was crucified, went to the Father, He was in deep agony yet these were his words: O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt”
As difficult as it was for him to offer his life, Jesus wanted the will of the Father to be done. The will of the Father was his earnest desire. He knew within the will of God, was the fulfillment of the mission for which he had come. It is said that his sweat was like drops of blood, yet he persevered to fulfill the call of God on his life. He fulfilled the mandate.
This was Jesus and perhaps we feel that we cannot do this. The will of God for our lives is a set path that God has planned for us. He put this into motion even before the foundation of the world. He has a perfect plan for our lives. All we need to do is yield to his will. God has sent us the Holy Spirit who will lead us and guide us. He will teach us how to know the will of God for our lives. We find the will of God in our fellowship with him and as we spend time in his Presence. We can be stubborn and insist on our own way, but be assured, your insistence on your own way, will lead you into the wilderness and a life of hard knocks. There is a permissible will of God. He will allow you your way, but there are consequences. There is a price to pay for not following the will of God for your life.
I urge you, please spend time in the presence of God, be faithful in your church attendance and meditate on the word of God. In this way, it will be easy for you to know the will of God and also have the strength to follow the will of God. This is a journey, begin with your first step and slowly it will get easier.
