Sensitivity to the Timing of God

The above scripture is about Abraham and Sarah. They had a promise of God that said that they would have a child. At their age, this seemed impossible. Actually, Sarah laughed when she heard the angel tell Abraham. Abraham was almost a hundred years old and Sarah about 90. In way of the world, this was definitely laughable. According to their understanding there was no way that they could conceive and have a child. Yes, with man, this is impossible. According to the ways of the world, this was ludicrous and they would laugh. Abraham, however was fully persuaded, God was well able to do what he had promised. Sarah however was not fully convinced.

The words the angel used was “according to the time of life”, that would be the full nine months. God has perfect timing in everything. He knows exactly what will happen in our lives and he knows the plans he has for our lives. We are ever in a hurry to get things done. We are so accustomed to the ways of the world that when God promises us something, we doubt it and work it out in our minds according to what we know and understand and have been taught. This knowledge limits us, this knowledge causes us to disbelieve God. We have to believe. The word says in Hebrews, that without faith, it is impossible to please God. He says, he that comes to God must believe that he is and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him. We are not subject to the time of the world, we are people of the supernatural, so we live in the supernatural timing of God.

Trust and believe, God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent. If he has said it, surely he will do it. Let’s trust the timing of God. Anything is possible with out God. His timing for everything in our lives is perfect.
