Creative Solutions Through Grace

“And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.”
Jesus was interactive with everyone He came in contact with. He was never arrogant or prideful. He was in touch with humanity. He felt compassion and even cried at the death of Lazarus. He was a man of tremendous power and the ability to change circumstances. He never gave advice. When he was approached, he started out with a question. The blind man came to him and asked him to heal him. Jesus responded with, “what would you like me to do for you?”. The man must have thought, gosh, can’t he see that I am blind. He could have got annoyed and walked off in a huff. No, the question required an answer and also made a demand on the ability of God. He had to respond to get a result. When he told Jesus the problem, Jesus immediately solved the problem.
Moses had gone to the backside of the desert for 40 years. He lived with his father in law Jethro and his people. There was no real covenant people with the God of Israel where Moses lived. Yet, God gives him a burning bush question. He had to approach the bush that was burning in order for God to speak to him. Moses could have walked right past, but no, he had been living a sub-standard life for 40 years with no revelation of God. He was hungry for more and was frustrated with just tending herds. He knew in his heart, he was called for much for than that. When something new and different came about, he was curious. God knew exactly where Moses was at and He knew how to approach Moses to re-align him to his purpose. This opportunity could have passed him by and perhaps kept him in the back side of the desert for another 40 years had Moses not dared to approach this burning bush. This ended the 40 years in the back side of the desert. He was the answer the Israelites needed, but he had to heed the call to set a nation free.
How many of us are walking in the backside of the desert for longer than we should, feeling frustrated and angry, not knowing what to do. The answer is in the word of God and in the presence of God. The solution will bring you out of your situation and also set others free, provided you take up your call like Moses. You are the solution the world needs, take up your cross and follow Jesus.
