The Blessing of Meekness

“But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace”
Meekness is a fruit developed in us as individuals, by the Holy Spirit as we daily walk with him in fellowship. It is said of Moses he was the meekest man that ever lived. When we read the word of God about Moses, it is difficult to believe that he was the meekest man. Moses grew up in the courts of Pharoah, hence there was pride and arrogance in him because of the status in which he was brought up. He went to the Israelites and he wanted them to accept him, even killing an Eygptian. in the process. The response of the people towards him, made him run into the back side of the desert. It was in the desert that meekness was worked into his life. When his time to lead Israel came, and God was ready to use him, Moses claimed he was a man who stuttered. It took 40 years to get to this point. Every ounce of self was removed. The process of growth in a leader and a believer, called with a purpose and a mission. Moses was mightily used of God when he was in his right place, at the right time, with the right attitude.
We are all called, we are all chosen and each of us has a unique calling and mission. We each have a purpose that we are called to. There is a right timing in God. In all of this God is both working and doing his good purpose in our lives. What He starts, He always completes. He is perfect in all of his ways. He works everything for our good. He does not cause the bad things to happen in our lives, but he does allow somethings so that he can work out the dross and worthless things in our lives. Meekness is part of the sanctification process so that his purposes can be fulfilled in our lives.
Please do not give up or give in during the period of being called to the time of being used by God to fulfill your purpose for your life. God is for you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Meekness is a characteristic needed to show forth the glory of God in your life.
Allow God to work in you, He is shaping you into a beautiful trophy for his glory.
