Theme for the month‘The Blessing of the Lord Is on My Life’

The Blessing of the Lord

The partnership letter for December 2010

Greetings to all my precious Partners in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. This month I would like to share with you along the lines of “The Blessing of the Lord” My Scripture Reference is Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it”

Let me now share some beautiful Keys along this line:

Key No 1: God has a Good plan for you: Many people have their own plan and ideas. But the Bible states that “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov 14:12) We must submit to God’s plan for our lives. His plans are to prosper you. However, you have to get up from the drivers seat and allow Him to take over. Maybe, this is where you are struggling in your life. ‘Self’ is very much alive and it is all about You. ‘This is the way I feel’, ‘I am hurt’, ‘They hurt my feelings’, ‘I am disappointed’, ‘I am angry’, etc, etc. This is what causes you to get stuck in your Spiritual journey. You need to let go, and let God.

Key No 2: Let go of Covetousness: Covetousness is a way of thinking. It’s a natural carnal mindset that does not include God. Covetousness is wanting to take for yourself something that belongs to someone else. Exodus 20:17 “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's”

Our way of thinking must be based on the Word of God. Most people do what they assume is the right thing to do. However, the wrong thing can never be the right thing. This kind of thinking is crippling believers financially these days. It is covetous mind-set that is cutting them off from The Blessing of God. Even worse, many begin to practice what God’s Word teaches us not to do. They begin to hold back the Tithe, their offerings, they pull back on their Sowing. When you do this, it is equivalent to committing Spiritual Suicide. It can be compared to Spiritual Constipation. Everything is blocked and nothing flows. In order for the Blessings to flow, you must allow Currency to flow out of your hands into Kingdom Business. When this happens, God blesses you and causes currency to flow back into your hands.

Key No 3: Begin to live in a Cycle of Blessings:

As you let go off your own Willpower, you begin to live in a Cycle of Blessing. Stop living in a Natural Carnal Mindset that does not include God. Seek God’s Will (His Word) then do it. Covetousness will wreck your life. Let us look at the following scripture:

Luke 12:16-19 “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry” This rich man was thinking wrongly. He was being covetous in his thinking & this turned Him into a fool. Foolish thinking and Foolish Acting will prevent the Blessing from working in your life.

Key No 4: Begin to Act like a Wise man: The question now arises; How do I act and behave like a wise man? Well, Jesus told us how to, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock” Matthew 7:24 When we act like a wise man we get a wise person’s results. We do that by hearing, and obeying God’s Word. God also gave Joshua some instructions to follow. What did He say to Joshua? (See Joshua 1:8) If this instruction worked for Joshua, it will certainly work for you. This is what will cause you to experience the Blessings of God.

Many Voices will begin to speak to you. The Voice of the devil, your flesh, etc, will tell you not to do God’s Word. You are to refuse to take those thoughts and begin to put into practice the Word of God. Sometimes Christians envy others who do experience great results. But you can also experience Great results by just doing the Word. Let us look at a scripture found in 2 Cor 10:4-5 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

As you cast down thoughts that come up against God’s Word, you will find your level of obedience grow. Then you will begin to see Results! This is what will cause you to walk & live in the circle of God’s Blessings 24/7. So do remember that God’s Blessing is on your life & that He has a Good plan for your life.

May God continue to richly bless you and your family. I pray for you daily and take pleasure in seeing you enjoy God’s blessings that make Rich & adds No Sorrow.

For the people here described, fasting was merely an accepted part of religious ritual, the kind of fasting practiced by the Pharisees in Jesus’ day. Instead of real repentance or self-humbling, they continued with…
