Receiving your Prophet, to ensure your Prosperity
The partnership letter for April 2011
Greetings to all my precious saints of God in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. This month I would like to share with you along these lines “Receiving your Prophet, to ensure your Prosperity”
My Scripture references are as follows: 2 Chronicles 20:20 “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established, Believe in His Prophets so shall ye prosper” The devil hates offerings-not just because they will ultimately cause the people of God to prosper, but also because they contain spiritual power. In the New Testament, one of the most tangible things we can offer to God is our finances.
Today, when we give with cash, check, credit or debit card, or electronic transfer, we are offering a material piece of our lives. In the Old Testament, the Israelites were required to offer physical sacrifices to God- whether it was grain offerings or animals. Throughout biblical history, when offerings were made correctly to God, the power of satan was bound and the power of the Holy Spirit was released. When Elijah made his offering to God at the summit of Mount Carmel, the power of the devil over people's lives were broken and they turned from devotion of the false god baal to worshipping the living God, Jehovah.
Immediately following this, Elijah prayed and there was a deluge of rain that broke a drought that had previously devastated the nation of Israel. Protect Your Offerings. When Abraham made his offering to the Lord, he had to drive away the birds of the air because they were trying to steal the offering he was making: In Genesis 15:11“And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away” We must take aggressive action against anything that attempts to steal our offerings to the Lord. Vultures of all kinds will swoop to take away what we have prepared for God. Abraham protected his offering from being consumed by other things. So must we. All too often, an urgent need, an unexpected invoice, a strong desire, or a friend's request threatens to take our Tithe or our Offering. As we remain committed to bringing the offering we have set apart for God, He will supply whatever we need for our own lives-including whatever threatened to steal our Tithe.
Malachi says the very act of giving an offering causes God to rebuke the devourer: Malachi 3:11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground” The devourer here is not 'it’ but ‘he’, indicating a personality. In John 10:10, Jesus said the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. One of his intentions is to destroy the offerings that belong to the Lord.
This is because they release a spiritual power, which, in effect, binds the works of the devil. Malachi talks about the devil destroying ‘the fruit of your ground’. Offerings to God have a direct influence on the levels of fruitfulness we will experience in our service to God. Fruitfulness is what the devil is most concerned about.
Our money can esily be seen as representing life. As we sacrifically give our lives to the Lord, we release a godly spiritual power that invokes blessing over our lives. Every time we bring an offering to the Lord, instead of the devil hindering us, we hinder the devil and block his workings in our lives.
In conclusion I would like to submit that in addition to your Tithes and Offerings, begin to honor your Prophet (Pastor) that God has given you in order for Prosperity and favor to rest on your lives and your entire household.
May God continue to richly bless you and your family. I pray for you daily and take pleasure in seeing you enjoy God’s blessings that make Rich & adds No Sorrow.
We Love You very Much,Pastors Roshan and Zubeda Sing
