The Way You See Your Life Shapes Your Life! (Part 3)

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“Friends, this world is not your home, so don't make yourselves cozy in it. Don't indulge your ego at the expense of your soul.”
1 Peter 2:11 (MSG)

We have examined how that life is a test. Then we looked at how life is a Trust. We will now look at a Third Metaphor. Life on Earth is a Temporary Assignment. In Psalm 39:4 (NLT) “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away” To keep us from becoming too attached to earth, God allows us to feel a significant amount of Discontent and Dissatisfaction in this life.

Your first Question in Heaven: Why did I place so much Importance on Things that were so temporary? Life on earth is a temporary assignment. Life on earth is extremely brief-compared to eternity. Then, earth is only your temporary residence. You won’t be here long so don't get too attached.

Ask God to change your thinking and help you see earth as He sees it. Your identity is in Eternity and your homeland is in heaven. When you grasp this truth, you will stop worrying about ‘having it all’ on earth. When you flirt with temptations of the world, God calls it spiritual adultery. Never focus on temporary crowns. Make sure that your heart is fixed on God and His Word.
