No weapon formed against you will prosper
The partnership letter for July 2008
Dear Partner,
I greet you in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your faithfulness to our meetings and May God continue to favour you in all your endeavours through this month. My title for this month’s message is ‘No weapon formed against you will prosper’, my scripture reading is taken from Isaiah 54:17.
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.”
I doubt if anyone will ever reach the place where criticism will cease. But I believe it is possible to create an attitude that will in due time take the sting completely away. You must make up your mind to overcome criticism and learn a way out of it. When criticism comes, you can burn with anger or resentment or decide to be bigger. Don’t think of reasons to resent your critics by all the bad things they say about you. Begin to look for reasons why you should not be angry and resentful. This will free you from resentment and contempt. You will begin to feel free and light again.
When people criticize you, don’t allow it to sting your soul. When you make progress in your life and move upward you are bound to be criticized. People that are envious of your progress must speak badly of you. When you are promoted, they will slander you. Don’t mind them. Just remember, keep on walking.
Here are some simple rules to follow to overcome criticism:
Rule No. 1: When you are criticized, ask yourself this question: Is it true?
Rule No.2: When the criticism is not true, make a faith image of the power of the Truth over Error.
Rule No.3: Practice forgiveness of your critics, not resentment.
Rule No.4: Don’t allow yourself to be drawn from a web of hate.
Rule No.5: Refuse to strike back.
Rule No.6: Refuse to become discouraged.
Rule No.7: Use the Power of Prayer.
So begin to put these rules into practice and free yourself. Let it sustain you and remember that “No weapon formed against you will prosper.”
Make every effort to keep your spirit right and refuse to be distracted in your walk with the Lord.
Pastor Zubeda and I pray for you daily. We love you very much and thank God for you. May God continue to richly bless you and your family.
With Love...Pastors Roshan and Zubeda SingFAITH CENTRE INTERNATIONAL
