Attending to God’s Word

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.”
That is why it is so important to give attention to the Word of God. As you do this your language changes. As you do this your life changes. As you do this the lives of people around you change.
The New Creation Man now lives by the Word of God. He is to live in the Word and abide in it day by day. Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” As we study, meditate, believe and confess God’s Word, powerful things will begin to happen. As we take a further step and act on His Word, it will prevail as it did in the city of Ephesus. Keep the Word of God in front of your eyes and in the midst of your heart. Ponder, meditate and mutter God’s Word. This will make your life prosperous and peaceful. Make up your mind to give attention to God’s Word. Remember that you were born again by the Word and you must now live by the Word of God.
