Developing a Faith Image (1)

Dr RJ Sing · 2 min read

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20-21

Jesus had a Faith Image. He knew what the Future held for Him. The way we think is very important. This vision will equip us to succeed in the battle of the mind. This is what is called ‘Faith Image’. An image is defined as a mental representation; an idea or conception. It is something imagined, a picture, vision or thought in the mind. Faith is described in Hebrews 11:1, as “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see”. It is the firm persuasion and expectation that God will perform all that He has promised us in Christ. The certainty of faith rests in the fact that it is based on the unchanging Word of God. Your faith image can therefore be defined as; ‘That which I am certain I will become in Christ and through Christ, based on the unchanging Word of God.

In the natural world, dreams are powerful. Martin Luther King motivated millions of people through his famous; ‘I have a Dream speech.’ It is true that the most comes to those, with the greatest dreams in life. Without a vision, man is not motivated to achieve his or her full potential in life. If this is true in the natural realm, how much more it is in the spiritual. Our vision and goals, our faith image, is not based simply on our own good ideas, but on what God says we can become. Our faith image is based solidly on God’s Word and comes into being or reality, through the working of His power within us. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think in life. But it is according to the “Power” that works in your life. That power is dependent on the extent the Word of God has dominion and sway in your life.
