Developing Your Faith Image – Part 5
Dr RJ Sing · 2 min read
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.”
What can you believe God for right now? As you use the faith you already have, it will grow until ultimately you will by faith be able to take hold of and experience the ‘fullness of Christ’, or the completion or realization of your dreams. Soberly assess your gift areas. You have been already ‘wired up’ by your Designer and Creator, Father God who has shaped us all with different gifting’s. What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? Your Faith Image will embrace a development of your particular God-given gifts, skill and abilities.
Know what they are, so you can develop them, and not be side-tracked into a desire to be something you are not gifted at. Romans 12:6 “God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well”. Soberly assess your present activity. Galatians 6:3-4 NKJV “If anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Work from your current activity towards your faith image. Are you, in fact, involved in activities, which are conducive to attaining your goal? What are you doing for God now? That is your starting place. Remember that God has already dealt to you a measure of faith. Exercise this faith so that it will grow and grow into strong faith.
