Power to Perceive

“Go from the presence of a foolish man, When you do not perceive in him the lips of knowledge”
Oh, the wisdom of walking away. We leave behind the troubles we would have faced had we courted a fool. The book of Proverbs is so clear, you have the right to perceive. The ability to perceive reduces the amount of trouble you will experience in your life if you heed the word.
We have no way to avoid relationships or people in our lives. However, we have the right to perceive the kind of person we are interacting with. The above scripture tells us “ to go from the presence of a foolish man”. We do not have to entertain his foolishness or subject ourselves to their stupidity. No matter how magnificent the picture they paint of their dreams and things they want in their lives. Just listening to the things they are saying already gives you an idea of how far away from reality they live. You do not have to entertain this. You have the right to look at the person, be respectful and patiently say to them, I am sorry, I cannot be a part of your dream, please find someone else.
In my life I have met people who do not have the ability to perceive and as a result of this, they actually fund the foolish dream of people and end up being disappointed and robbed of their money. How foolish. Ask the Spirit to give you ears to hear and eyes to see, so you are not fooled or taken in by foolishness. Love them but do not invest too much time on their foolishness.
Paul was a man who perceived, he knew when to give up his desire to destroy the church and he also knew when a man had enough faith to be healed and whole. We too need to walk in this grace of perceiving. We have the right to a life free from troubles that we bring about ourselves. Let Jesus be your wisdom and give you perception to live victoriously in this life. You have knowledge and understand and the intelligence of the Holy spirit. You will walk circumspectly in this life. You will not be conned by any foolish person in this life.
