Parenting Without Anger
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you”
Anger does not work the righteousness of God so we cannot give in to the luxury of Anger. We can be angry but let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us control our anger so that we do not sin. Let us make this declaration together for today.
Paul lists bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour and evil speaking together, because they travel together. Each one gives the next one permission. And he does not tell us to manage them. He tells us to put them away.
Then he gives us the replacement: be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God forgave us. Anger left in the heart overnight hardens into something our children learn from us. Please let the Holy Spirit show you the old hurt behind today's shouting. A gentle answer is not weakness. It is the most powerful thing in the room.
This declaration is a journey that will take time but I know that by the power of the Holy Spirit, day by day we will conquer and be winners in this life.
