We Have the Mind of Christ

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ”
We have the mind of Christ. This is a right and a privilege. We as born again believers are carriers of the presence of God. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are seated with Christ in heavenly place. We set our mind son things above and not beneath. We are not of the world but we do live in the world, so we learn to adapt our Spiritual mind so that we overcome the carnal mind no matter what we face. We may not know the mind of the Lord to instruct him but we do have the mind of Christ.
An opportunity arises where you are being given a promotion and the promotion offers you more money as well the promotion. The promotion will include the transfer costs etc and the moving costs to your new location. The schooling opportunities seem better and your spouse may also have an opportunity to get a better job. However the new job is further away from home and the hours you are required to work are much longer. This will cause you to be away from home much more so your family life will be affected and perhaps even your church life will be impacted. The boxes for the promotion are all ticked as if all you ever wanted was wrapped up in this job. Everyone is excited and looking forward to the move. You are excited too for all the perks etc. but inside of you, you are not at peace. You cannot explain it but something does not feel right. Your spouse expresses their concern and like you they are just not feeling right. This is where, having the mind of Christ comes in. The umpire who is the Holy Spirit is allowing you to lose your peace because he is saying to you, the decision to move is not the right one. Do you take the job or do you stay and wait for the right one to come along. It sounds super crazy, but this is how a man/woman with the mind of Christ, operates. The answer here would be, refuse the job and remain in the position you are. This obedience will cause you to wait, but the wait will bring the right job at the right time and the salary will far exceed what you ever hoped for. God has a way of turning things around. So, we have to be still and know that He is God. I have seen countless people make the wrong choice and land up ship wrecked. We were almost one of the statistics, but our God came through for us and restored what the enemy had stolen. It’s a long story and a painful one so I can advise you, put on the mind of Christ. Listen and wait. God will come through for you.
The thriver is a person who keeps their mind stayed on God and our heavenly Father gives them perfect peace and a wealthy reward, taking them to their wealthy place.
