The Mind of the Lord

This scripture tells you of a man who had fought with an Israelite and blasphemed God. He was taken into custody and locked up. They kept him locked up until the priest got a word from the Lord as to how to handle the matter. The instruction was to take the man outside of the camp and after the heads of the tribe laid hands on him, the congregation would stone him to death. The two things that stood out for me was that :

They waited to hear what the mind of the Lord was about this matter

They were in unity as to the outcome of the man. They were of one mind regarding this matter.

These were the tribe of people who really upset the Lord because of their murmuring and complaining, against God and Moses, yet they were willing to yield their minds to the will of God for their lives.

We are believers and we have the holy spirit living on the inside of us, yet we do not take the time to wait on the Lord to hear what he is saying. I am not asking you to go on a month’s fast or something religious like that. When you have a decision to make, go to the Lord in prayer. Go to the shepherd or man of God in your life who you look up to as Father and discuss the matter as these men went to Moses. The spirit of counsel will come upon your man of God and he will give you an answer that will align to what you are already sensing in your spirit man. Then make a decision in unity with those in partnership with you. The outcome will only add value to your life and bring peace and joy.

A thriver relishes in the mind of the Lord and the word of God. The thriver is wise enough to seek counsel so every decision that is made brings glory to God and adds value to their life.
