A Renewed Heart

An evil man/woman, out of the evil treasure of his/her heart speaks forth evil things but a man/woman who has a good heart brings forth good things. A renewed heart is a heart that belongs to him/her who is filled with the presence of God, filled with the word of God daily. They may not have major time to spend praying and reading the word, but the time they do spend in the presence of God and in the word of God is quality time. They are focused and intentional when they go before the Lord. The word of God that they read and study takes root in their hearts. What they do read, stays in their heart and directs their path. The word read is not merely read, but studied. The weight of that word gives them direction and wisdom so they are successful in everything they do. Temptations may come but they have a discerning heart that recognizes the folly of the enemy and manage to successful avoid the pitfalls of temptation. When trails come, they are able to recognize the source and immediately consult the Holy Spirit so they know what to do in the time of crisis.

A renewed heart is marinated in the word and the presence of God so when they go out into the world and about their business, the perfume of the presence goes before them. The memory of their conversation with God in their communion with God lingers in their heart, guiding and directing them. The know the echo of the devil who only knows how to steal kill and destroy. The words steal, kill and destroy are warning flags that are raised in the midst of their busy day and they know what is from God and what is from the devil so they can avoid it at any cost. Jesus is their wisdom and their hearts and mind are renewed day by day.

The minute something alien enters the heart, they are able to recognize it, capture it and cast it out in Jesus, name. They are executioners who put to death the works of the devil at the entry point.

The heart of the thriver is continually being shaped and renewed.
