Evaluation of Our Stand with God
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“‘I know your deeds and your toil, and your patient endurance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested and critically appraised those who call themselves apostles (special messengers, personally chosen representatives, of Christ), and [in fact] are not, and have found them to be liars and impostors; and [I know that] you [who believe] are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and that you have not grown weary [of being faithful to the truth]. But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]. So remember the heights from which you have fallen, and repent”
As we walk with the Holy Spirit and engage him every day of our lives, there is always a re-alignment needed with our fellowship with the Father. We are all guilty of getting so busy with everyday life that our gaze and affection get distracted. We do not mean to look away from the things of the kingdom. Slowly we get so occupied with the things of the world that demand our attention that we get used to the silence of the spirit of God or the direction he gives because of the chaos in our lives. Everyone of us has things that need attention but I urge you, take time to draw aside and listen for his voice. Without him we are nothing.
In our busyness we need the power of the spirit of God and the wisdom of God to direct us and guide us. We need to realign on a daily basis. Take time out at night before you rest your head to thank the Father, for your day and just rest in his glorious arms so he can comfort and strengthen you. He wants to offer you solutions and wisdom to handle the issues that consumes you. He knows your every step and the heaviness of the burdens you have to deal with. Rest in him and realign, never lose your first love.
