The partnership letter for November 2024

The partnership letter for November 2024

Dear beloved family of God

We welcome the month of November. We trust you have had break throughs in the month of September and enjoyed some victories in certain or all areas of your life. In everything know this, God is with you and for you. Your circumstances do not determine who you are or your worth in Christ. You are God’s beloved, He called you, He chose you and He alone has your best interest at heart.

Perhaps you are wondering, if this is so, why do so many bad things happen to me. It’s reasonable to think this way, but is it really true? The devil would love for you to think so, he enjoys the fact that he has managed to distract you from looking at the greatness of God to the smallness of the problems you encounter. God is bigger than our problems. We need to invite the Holy Spirit in and begin to train our way of looking at things. We are a royal Priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, sons and daughters of the Most High God. We are called to see things from God’s perspective. We are the kind of people who call those things which be not, as though they are. We call forth what we do not see. The world says, seeing is believing. The word says, believing is seeing! So, the world sees a problem, God wants us to see an opportunity. We are being trained by the Holy Spirit who lives on the inside of us to God inside minded, to have the mind of Christ and realise that we are Faith beings who have the power to speak things in to being.

Is this kind of living, something that takes place instantly or overnight? No, unfortunately not. It takes time and fellowship with the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us and grow us in the fruit of the spirit so we become more and more like Jesus. As He is, so are we in this world. We are overcomers in this life but we have to give ourselves to the reign of the Holy Spirit in our lives to see life from God’s perspective.

Herein lies the topic of this month’s subject, being relentless in our pursuit of honour. We honour God by trusting and believing in him.

What is honour? The dictionary describes honour as “high respect, great esteem” or regard with great respect”. Let us as a church this month allow the Holy Spirit into our lives to teach us great respect for God so we can honour him in all of our ways. Our trust and belief will start to change and as that changes, so too will our honour and respect for people change. Our God is amazing, nothing just happens, he plans all of our ways so that we fit into his perfect plan.

Thank you for partnering with us. Thank you for your faithfulness to the house of God. Thank you for partnering financially with the kingdom of God. God is no man’s debtor, as you have sown, so to shall you receive in every area of your life. We love and appreciate you all very much.

    The Benefits of Honour

“Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” Proverbs 8v18-21

Honour is a principle of the kingdom of God. It seems to be a dying art in the world but not in the kingdom of God. We as sons and daughters of the most high God need to …

    Honour My Pastor

“Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them. Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6v6-10

Honour your Pastor, honour those who teach you the word. What a privilege this is. Honour produces in us an endless supply of every good thing that comes from God.

    The Fruit of Honour

“One day Elisha went to the town of Shunem. A wealthy woman lived there, and she urged him to come to her home for a meal. She said to her husband, “I am sure this man who stops in from time to time is a holy man of God. Let’s build a small room for him on the roof and furnish it with a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp. Then he will have a place to stay whenever he comes by.” One day Elisha returned to Shunem, and he went up to this upper room to rest. He said to his servant Gehazi, “Tell the woman from Shunem I want to speak to her.” When she appeared, Elisha said to Gehazi, “Tell her, ‘We appreciate the kind concern you have shown us. What can we do for you? Can we put in a good word for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’” “No,” she replied, “my family takes good care of me.” Later Elisha asked Gehazi, “What can we do for her?” Gehazi replied, “She doesn’t have a son, and her husband is an old man.” “Call her back again,” Elisha told him. When the woman returned, Elisha said to her as she stood in the doorway, “Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!” “No, my lord!” she cried. “O man of God, don’t deceive me and get my hopes up like that.” But sure enough, the woman soon became pregnant. And at that time the following year she had a son, just as Elisha had said.” 2 Kings 4v8-17

This woman was a rich woman who really did not need very much. She was wise enough to recognize and perceive that Elijah had, what she lacked. She had everything material…

The Consequences of Failure to Honour

“Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15v1-9

    God Honours His Word

“In hope against hope Abraham believed that he would become a father of many nations, as he had been promised [by God]: “SO [numberless] SHALL YOUR DESCENDANTS BE.” Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.” Romans 4v18
