Honouring God with My Career

“You must not dishonor God or curse any of your rulers. “You must not hold anything back when you give me offerings from your crops and your wine. “You must give me your firstborn sons. “You must also give me the firstborn of your cattle, sheep, and goats. But leave the newborn animal with its mother for seven days; then give it to me on the eighth day.”
This was the law given to Moses by God to his people. We do not live under the law but under grace because Jesus died on the cross for us and he gave us all things that pertain to life and godliness. So, I am presenting the principle of honouring God with your career, your skills, your business and all things that generate a return in your life.
Commit your career, your business and all your endeavours to God. When you present the first of everything to God, even your business or career, you are guaranteeing his involvement in your life so your career or business is blessed. You will then enjoy the benefit of favour and good success because your career or business is in God’s hands. Whilst other people are experiencing lack or being retrenched, you experience good success in your career. You experience promotion and favour. Why? You committed your career or business to God as a first fruit. Ponder this thought and let the holy Spirit show you what it is you have to do.
