Honour Brings Me a Good Quality Life

‘Honor (respect, obey, care for) your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that your days [on the earth] may be prolonged and so that it may go well with you in the land which the LORD your God gives you. DEUT 5V16

In this scripture which now re-appears in the book of Deuteronomy, we are once again reminded to honour our parents, mother and father.

In this article I want to bring in the fact that the quality of your life, is dependent on you honouring your parents. This may sound crazy to you but it is a fact. When the word says it, you can be guaranteed it has eternal and earthly consequences. When we honour our parents we enjoy a full life. When we honour our parents we are investing in a good quality life that overflows into our next generation. We are sowing seeds for our future generations.

Honouring your father and your mother ensures a good life for you here on earth. It attracts the attention of God who gives you a full and blessed life. Invest in honour, you will reap the rewards of a blessed and good quality of life.

For those of us who do not have parents, we give honour to those God has placed in our lives who parent us in the absence of our parents. We too reap the rewards of a good quality of life because of this honour.
