The Gift of Serving
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues”
God has called each of us to serve in the body of Christ. Every one of us has a unique gift that God has placed on the inside of us to help build his people and strengthen his church. The giftings and callings of God are without repentance. That means it is not dependent on how good you are and how well you behave. You came into this world gifted to fulfill your. Mission and calling in this life.
We have to embrace this calling and understand that we have been called to be serve. Even Jesus said, he was not called to be served, but to serve. This was an amazing statement from the son of God. He was all about doing his Father’s business. He was here to bring salvation to the people. The first part of his life was to teach and train the disciples so they could go out and build the church and win the lost to Christ. He then died on the Cross so that he could pay the penalty of sin for us. We are now free from sin, we were justified and every price of sin, Jesus took upon himself.
As Jesus came to serve, we too have to serve. As you serve in the house of God, you will discover what your gifting is and you will fulfill it. If you do not serve and fulfill your calling you will find that you have something missing in your life. You can be promoted and be financially blessed but somewhere on the inside of you there is always something missing. You will feel frustrated and unfulfilled until you step up and fulfill your calling. Be brave and serve. God has big things in store for you.
