Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.”
Acts 9v39

Dorcas (Tabitha) was a disciple in the church in the book of acts. She was a women who was a blessing to the widows in Lydda. She was very creative for sowed stuff for the widows. She really made an impact on the lives of these widows. She suddenly passed away and they were so distraught that they called on Peter to raise her from the dead. They made it known how her creativity was such a blessing to them. Peter was moved with compassion and prayed for her. She was raised from the dead and continued to serve. Here was a woman who chose to use her creativity to enhance the lives of others. Her creativity moved Peter to pray for her to raise her from the dead. She was beneficial to the kingdom of God, using her talents to be a blessing.
