Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Boldness to Enter in

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” Heb 4v16

The children of God, the Jews in the Old Testatment, could never approach God on their own, they had no access in to the holy of holies. They had a high priest who would …

    The Power of Prayer Uri

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he prayed intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].” James 5v16-17

There is power in prayer. There is an anointing on each of us to pray. Prayer is communicating with the Father. Prayer is expressing our love to the Father. Prayer enhanc…

    The Language of Silence

“And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing” Matt 27v11

    What is silence?

    Word Worship

“will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Psalm 138v2

We know from scripture that Satan was the lead Worship leader. He had the entire orchestra on the inside of him. He could make sounds that would lead the angels into wors…

    Speak the Word Out

“And they spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever.” 2 Chronicles 10v7

A wholesome tongue produces wholesome words. A wholesome tonque speaks a higher language, it is the language of the word of God.

    Pray the Word

“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.” Isaiah 43v26

Prayer is communion with God. Prayer is saying, Abba Father you are important to me. I cannot do life without you. I remember your promises and when I come to your altar,…

The Joy of the Secret Place

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91v1

In the Old Testament, the secret place meant the holy of holies. In this place, only the high priest could enter and that too, only once a year. He went in to seek atonem…

We Do Not Wrestle Against Flesh and Blood

“She followed after Paul and us and kept screaming and shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God! They are proclaiming to you the way of salvation!” She continued doing this for several days. Then Paul, being greatly annoyed and worn out, turned and said to the spirit [inside her], “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ [as His representative] to come out of her!” And it came out at that very moment.” Acts 16v17-18

Paul and Silas were ministering in the city and many people were being touched. Here was this girl following them saying they were servants of the Most High God. In our d…

The Blessing of Having Jesus as My Intercessor

“For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted” Heb 2 v16-18

Jesus is our high priest who is seated at the right hand of the father and he lives forever to make intercession on our behalf. We are seated with him in heavenly places …

The Blessing of Being Known by Name

“The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered and reflected on My servant Job? For there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God [with reverence] and abstains from and turns away from evil [because he honors God].” Job 1v8

God knew Job by name. He knew him so, well, he could even brag about him. He knew him well enough to know that no matter what Satan threw at him, Job would never let God …

The Blessing of the Name of Jesus

“And He told them, “Whoever welcomes this child in My name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me [also] welcomes Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you [that is, the one who is genuinely humble—the one with a realistic self-view]—he is the one who is [truly] great.” Luke 9v48

Jesus speaking to the disciples explains how effective one can be by using the name of Jesus. His name is above all names and at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow a…
