The Blessing of Having Jesus as My Intercessor

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted”
Heb 2 v16-18

Jesus is our high priest who is seated at the right hand of the father and he lives forever to make intercession on our behalf. We are seated with him in heavenly places so he is fully aware of our needs and wants. He is touched with the feelings of our trials and tribulations as he faced the same as he lived on this earth. He sent the Holy Spirit who lives on the inside of us, to be our intercessor here on the earth. The Holy Spirit prays on our behalf with groanings we ourselves cannot utter. We want to pray but we are so troubled, the Holy Spirit has to come and pray on our behalf, in accordance with God’s will.

When we pray according the will of God, when we pray according to God’s will, He hears us and he grants the petitions we present before him. Wow, that is amazing that God hears and answers our prayers. We have the Holy Spirit and Jesus as our intercessor, who pray on our behalf for things we have no clue, to pray for. We are so blessed, heaven and earth know us. We are not ordinary people, we are citizens of heaven. Our identity is recognized both here on earth and in heaven. When we lose a loved one, we need never fear if they belonged to Jesus. They have just relocated, they are now with Jesus. In the midst of the pain of grieving, know God is with you and your beloved is safe in the arms of Jesus.
