Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

God Always Works His Plan for Our Lives

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Gen 50v20 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” Rom 8v28

Nothing just happens. God has plans for our lives and everything works together for our good. Even when we make bad decisions, God is able to turn it around. What we have…

I Step Into the Arms of My Comforter

“Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” 2 Cor 1v3-4

Family of God, as we come to the close of this year, the busyness of life and the demands of our time seems to intensify. We seem to have more bills than money coming in.…

Evaluation of Our Stand with God

“‘I know your deeds and your toil, and your patient endurance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested and critically appraised those who call themselves apostles (special messengers, personally chosen representatives, of Christ), and [in fact] are not, and have found them to be liars and impostors; and [I know that] you [who believe] are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and that you have not grown weary [of being faithful to the truth]. But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]. So remember the heights from which you have fallen, and repent” REV 2V2-5

As we walk with the Holy Spirit and engage him every day of our lives, there is always a re-alignment needed with our fellowship with the Father. We are all guilty of get…

    Grace to Perceive

“saying, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.” Acts 27v10

The above scripture is a record of the time Paul was taken as a prisoner to Rome. He was on a boat with other prisoners and was in chains. He gave them a word where he in…

    Deliverance From Temptation

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience” James 1v2-3

    Overcome Discouragement

“Moses returned to the Lord and said, “O Lord, why have you brought trouble upon this people? Is this why you sent me? Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble upon this people, and you have not rescued your people at all” Exodus 5v22-23

Moses obeyed God exactly, and the situation got worse. So he went back to the Lord and said so plainly. There is no pretence anywhere in that prayer, and God was not offe…

The Ability to See Beyond the Pain

“And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive” Gen 50v19-20

When we go through pain, we seem to be obsessed with the pain or so overcome by what we are facing, so much so that we forgot that God has our back. The enemy keeps our a…

    My Protected Life

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust” Psalm 91v1-2

The secret place is not a hiding place for the fearful. It is the dwelling place of people who have made up their minds about who God is. David does not say he hopes the …
