Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    A Persuaded Mind

“For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Rom 8v38-39

Paul was a man who was fully persuaded in his calling. He was full of the presence of God and knew that he knew he was called to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. In eve…

    My Love Walk

“And Jesus replied to him, ” ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.” Matthew 22v37-40

There was a question that was asked of Jesus by the Pharisees at the time, to test him. Hence, Jesus gave this answer but it is absolutely relevant even today. Our first …

    God’s Vision Versus Our Understanding

“Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim [judgment] against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.” But Jonah ran away to Tarshish to escape from the presence of the LORD [and his duty as His prophet]” Jonah 1v1-3

God gave Jonah an instruction. God had a vision for Nineveh and he wanted to use Jonah as an instrument to bring Nineveh to the people to give them a chance for his mercy…

    Be an Encourager

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” Heb 3v12-14

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. 1Thes 5v11

    Faith & Love

“For [if we are] in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but only faith activated and expressed and working through love” Gal 5v6

We can have faith that can move a mountain but if we do not have love, we have nothing. Faith works by love. Love is the engine to our faith. We have to develop our love …

    The Thriver Lives Offense Free

“I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died” ROM 14V14-15

In this life you will find many people have walked away from the things of God because of being offended. The offense did not come deliberately but it is offense none the…

    The Hospitality of a Thriver

“Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.” Acts 16v14-15

Lydia was quite successful in her own right. She had many good relationships around her so she was quite established in her social circle as well. She was hungry for more…

    I Am a Cheerful Giver

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9v6-7

Oh, what joy to give to the house of God. It is an absolute pleasure to partner with God’s kingdom. We are blessed and we are not only blessed because we bring seed and p…
