Be an Encourager
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin”
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. 1Thes 5v11
There are countless people going through struggles because of what they are facing in life. Mentally people are just not coping with the stresses of life. It is in this time that we as believers need to put on the cloak of love and become an encourager to those in need. We need to offer comfort and just be there for people who are hurting. A broken heart cannot receive a plaster to heal, but healing words can penetrate a broken heart and bring healing.
The Holy Spirit will give us discernment each day in our walk to see those in need of comfort and he will lead us to them so we can have a word in season to the weary, the broken hearted and the oppressed. Jesus is the healer, the Holy Spirit is the comforter but he works through us to touch the hearts of his people. He sees the need and all he is looking for is an available person to work through to touch the weary soul.
As encourager of people, you will find it is also a good time to lead people to Christ, so you are not only offering the benefits of salvation but introducing the Saviour to them. In this way they will not only receive healing but also eternal life.
