Walking in Wholeness (Shalom)

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”
Jeremiah 29:7

Seek the peace and prosperity (Shalom) of your current city/situation.

Thriving is a state of wholeness—nothing missing, nothing broken.

Your welfare is tied to the welfare of your community—be a blessing agent.

This scripture tells us to work for peace and prosperity, yet in grace we have this already prepared for us. It is a gift which we take by faith. The word work is not relevant. We do not strive, we thrive. Yes we pray, yes we leave all our struggles with Jesus. I want you to see the difference between the law and grace. In the law we had to fulfil all the requirements, by grace we access everything we need that Christ has provided.

By the power of the Holy Spirit we seek the peace of God, we lean into it because it is a benefit of salvation. In this thriving we are in a state of wholeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. When we are whole we can offer our wholeness to our community and the people around us. Our world is impacted by our wholeness.

I trust you understand how important the peace of God is in your life. When you are peaceful, you create an environment that brings stability and brings solutions to those around you. They see Jesus in you. Your wholeness becomes a light that shines for Jesus.
