Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

A Fruitful Tree

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit” Jeremiah 17v8

    I Am a Team Player

“Walking along the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers: Simon (later called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishing, throwing their nets into the lake. It was their regular work. Jesus said to them, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.” Matthew 4v198-20

Jesus was the son of God, He was divinity in humanity. God had given him a mandate to come into the world and die on the cross, to reconcile man, back to God. As he journ…

I Step Into the Arms of My Comforter

“Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” 2 Cor 1v3-4

Family of God, as we come to the close of this year, the busyness of life and the demands of our time seems to intensify. We seem to have more bills than money coming in.…

Evaluation of Our Stand with God

“‘I know your deeds and your toil, and your patient endurance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested and critically appraised those who call themselves apostles (special messengers, personally chosen representatives, of Christ), and [in fact] are not, and have found them to be liars and impostors; and [I know that] you [who believe] are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and that you have not grown weary [of being faithful to the truth]. But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]. So remember the heights from which you have fallen, and repent” REV 2V2-5

As we walk with the Holy Spirit and engage him every day of our lives, there is always a re-alignment needed with our fellowship with the Father. We are all guilty of get…

    I Am a Cheerful Giver

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9v6-7

Oh, what joy to give to the house of God. It is an absolute pleasure to partner with God’s kingdom. We are blessed and we are not only blessed because we bring seed and p…

    The Grace of Knowledge

“And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship” EXOD. 31v3-4

I marvel at the beauty of God. He is so wonderful and perfect in all of his planning. He has called each of us and given us a unique gift. In order to operate in this gif…

    Grace to Hear

“The angel said, “Your prayers and neighborly acts have brought you to God’s attention. Here’s what you are to do. Send men to Joppa to get Simon, the one everyone calls Peter. He is staying with Simon the Tanner, whose house is down by the sea.” ACTS 10v4-6

Cornelius had the privilege of hearing from God. His obedience in worshipping God and giving arms got God’s attention. God sent an angel to him to tell him the way of Sal…

    Grace to Seize Opportunities

“But haven’t there been plenty of opportunities for Israel to listen and understand what’s going on? Plenty, I’d say. Preachers’ voices have gone ’round the world, Their message to earth’s seven seas” ROM 10V28

In this life, every one of us is constantly given opportunities to follow the will of God and follow through on what he has asked us to do. Unfortunately, the Israelites,…

The Grace of Healing for a Sound Mind

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2Timothy 1v7

God has given us a sound mind. Fear nullifies the strength of a sound mind. Fear is an enemy to having a sound mind. The enemy tries his best to stir up fear in our heart…
