Grace to Seize Opportunities

In this life, every one of us is constantly given opportunities to follow the will of God and follow through on what he has asked us to do. Unfortunately, the Israelites, who were given multiple opportunities to turn from serving idols to serve the living God, failed to follow through and serve God as the only true and living God. In every place they found themselves they found it easier to blend in and follow the ways of the culture they were in and forsook the way of the Lord. We may judge them, but we are just the same in many ways. In many situations, we go the way of the world and their reasoning, instead of waiting on the Lord. When the wait is too long, we find ourselves finding alternate ways to make something happen. When we do this, we open ourselves up to the tricks of the devil. An example of this is when we are in dire financial need, we commit the matter to the Lord, we go to the bank or even borrow from others. In the end we are in so much debt that we find ourselves unable to fulfill our commitments. Then we borrow from Peter to pay Paul or we start hiding from our creditors. Let us start out by committing our way to the Lord and seeking his guidance in our finances. Let us prioritise our wants and needs, so we are not incurring debt because of our greed. Do we really need that car? Can we not look at a cheaper option? These are just examples, you have to consider things in your own life and seize the opportunity to follow through on the wisdom of God to get out of debt.

When you come through your journey of debt cancellation and money management, you are able to be a witness to others on the goodness of God. There is a grace on you to help others by the anointing on your life, so they too seize the opportunity to walk debt free. What an amazing journey and what a delightful grace to have on our lives, we teach others to seize opportunities as we are able to identify opportunities ourselves.
