The Financial Overflow of the Thriver
Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions”
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 1 Tim 6v8-9
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.” Heb 13v5
No matter how much financial resources you have, having Godly contentment is above all of that. We are called to prosper in every area of our lives. We prosper in our relationships, which are invaluable. God has called us to love and respect each other. How we treat one another is important to God. So having much money but you are a person who is rude and nasty, does not speak well of your testimony as a Christian. People do not want to know what you have but how you are as a person. Let love be your driving force and pursue peace at all costs.
Financial success will follow you all the days of your life, but do not let this be the evidence you need of success. Success and prosperity is much more than money. Having great ideas and giving solutions to people for the problems they are facing are far more valuable.
A person with wisdom is far more valuable than a person with lots of money but a bad attitude. Perhaps you do not agree with this statement but look around you. There are people with money but they have no peace, they have money but cannot be healed. I suggest we all evaluate what is important in this life. Knowing God and his word will ensure a perpetual thriving in your life.
