Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Abide in the Vine

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15v5

Jesus is the vine, we are the branches. We abide in him and He abides in us. We remain in him and He remains in us. As we draw off the sap from the vine, our branch becom…

    Encourage Yourself in the Lord

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God” 1 Sam 30v6

David was at his lowest point. He was running from Saul who sought to kill him. God had added to his life a group of men who had been abandoned and frustrated. They had w…

    Fear No Evil

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23v4

In your walk, there is every possibility that you could face the death of a loved one or a friend. Yet, even in this situation, the encouragement from the Lord is, do not…

    Dominion Over the Storm

“Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives. Acts 27v10 For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’” Acts 27v23

Paul was sent to Rome to stand trial as he had appealed to Ceasar. He was sent on a boat with other prisoners. The route taken was not a very easy one and they faced many…

    Fight with Purpose

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6v12

In this life we will face many fights that we will have to decide whether to retreat or advance. Only you can decide whether the fight is worth the fight or not.

    Run with Purpose

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” Heb12v1

This journey of salvation is not a short run, but a run of endurance. Endurance means: the power to withstand hardship or stress and the ability to keep going despite fat…

My Right to a Prosperous Mind

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” 3John1v2

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, Phil 2v5

    The Freedom of Healing

“So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe.” John 19v1-2

Jesus died on the cross so we can be saved. We are saved and we have the right to healing as a bonus of salvation. We have the right to live healed and whole. Whatever st…

    Grace on My Mental Health

“Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]” Romans 8v6

A right heart attitude, stimulates a healthy mind attitude. A person who does not give into their emotions and feelings of weakness and depression, lives a healthier life…

    Rise Up Thriver

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief” Prov 24v16

There is not a man or woman in this life who has not fallen some time or the other. The problem is not in the falling but in the failing to rise up after the fall. When y…

    The Joy of the Lord

“Then Ezra said to them, “Go [your way], eat the rich festival food, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be worried, for the joy of the LORD is your strength and your stronghold.” Nehemiah 8v10

The Joy of the Lord is our strength. We have to make a decision to be joyful always. If anyone costs you your joy, it is too expensive. It is in our joy that we keep up o…
