Dominion Over the Storm

“Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives. Acts 27v10 For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’”
Paul was sent to Rome to stand trial as he had appealed to Ceasar. He was sent on a boat with other prisoners. The route taken was not a very easy one and they faced many storms along the way. Paul instructed them not to take that particular route as the Lord had laid this on his heart. The centurion refused to listen as he knew that Paul was not a skilled sailor, he preferred to listen to the owner of the boat. They were not aware of who Paul really was, nor the power and authority he carried. They faced even more tempestuous situations whilst sailing but nothing could harm any of them because Paul was on the boat.
The second scripture clearly shows that the angel of the Lord visits Paul once again, this time to encourage those on the boat as they were clearly overwhelmed by the various storms they were facing on the sea. The message here was pretty clear, God was preserving the lives of everyone on board, just so Paul could land safely. His hand of protection did not only protect Paul but also those that were connected to him.
Family of God, the situation for everyone of us is the same. We have the right to tame a storm. In fact whatever we face we are assured of victory. The point I am making here is, God will protect you in any situation and no harm or danger will befall you. Not only you will enjoy the protection but those that are with you as well. Not one of the prisoner’s nor the people on the boat lost their lives. The boat broke a part and they were safely taken to sure despite their being no ship to take them to the shore. If God could do this for Paul, He can certainly do it for you. Believe and trust in every situation. You have authority and power over every storm, on the sea or even on the shore.
