Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

Be Hospitable to the Household of God

“A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a dealer in purple fabrics who was [already] a worshiper of God, listened to us; and the Lord opened her heart to pay attention and to respond to the things said by Paul. And when she was baptized, along with her household, she pleaded with us, saying, “If you have judged me and decided that I am faithful to the Lord [a true believer], come to my house and stay.” And she persuaded us.” Acts 16v14-15

This was a woman who was ministered to by Paul and on hearing the word of God she was so convinced she received the Lord as her personal saviour. Her joy and gratitude di…

    Give of Yourself

“Then Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.” John 19v26

Jesus looked at John at the cross and immediately said to him that His mother, would now be John’s Mother. No consultation or negotiation. John just accepted the words of…

    Be a Giver

“give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6v38

God, our God is a giver. He gave us Jesus who gave his life for us and gave us salvation, making us a new species of being. We were not entitled to this salvation but God…

    Do Not Judge Others

““Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6v37

God alone is judge of all. As the scripture says here, we should not judge others. When we judge or condemn others, we are opening the door for us to be judged and condem…

Understand the Love of God for you

““I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah 31v3

The love of God is from everlasting to everlasting. His love for us never changes. No matter what we do or how far away we go from him. His love never changes. This love …

    Be a Giver

“give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6v38

Giving is a characteristic of our heavenly Father. Our Father is very concerned about us and would love for us to live our best life so he sent his only Son Jesus to die …

    Show Mercy

““Blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.” Matthew 5v7

We all want people to show us mercy, but when we are wronged, we instantly want to lash out. We want the person to know they have done wrong. We show by our attitude that…

    Anointed for Good Works

“Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life. Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so-called knowledge. Some people have wandered from the faith by following such foolishness. May God’s grace be with you all.” 1 Timothy 6v18-21

We are not saved by our good works, no we are saved by the Precious blood of Jesus Christ.

    The Love of God

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3v16

God’s love for us is immeasurable, it just cannot be measured. He loved us even before we were born, in fact, even before we were in our mother’s womb. He planned our liv…

    The Power of Love

“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.” 1 Peter 4v8

The world says love is over rated. What do you say? God is love. Love has been shed abroad our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Just from that statement you can see how importa…

    The Anointing to Forgive

“Everyone who hates (works against) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer [by God’s standards]; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know [and have come to understand the depth and essence of His precious] love: that He [willingly] laid down His life for us [because He loved us]. And we ought to lay down our lives for the believers.” 1 John 3v15-16

The very thought of this scripture brings me in awe of the spirit of God. A person who hates is considered a murderer. Forgiveness is that important to God. If we do not …

God is a God of mercy and grace. There is a special favor for those who really love Jesus. This is the Peter, James and John relationship. Peter, James and John were the ones…
