Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

You Were Planned for God’s Pleasure

“For God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for His Own Glory” (Isaiah 61:3)

God has emotions and bringing pleasure to Him is called Worship. If we fail to worship God, we always find a substitute. There is no Biblical definition for worship, it is a lifestyle. You…

    Celebrate

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] Holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of The LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

It is God’s Will for His children to be joyful. Today, celebrations have become a way of life. Many towns have at least one festival per year. There are arts festivals, cherry festivals and…

    Shine Brightly

“You shall command the Israelites to provide you with pure oil of crushed olives for the light, to cause it to burn continually [every night].” (Exodus 27:20 – AMP)

‘Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil…so that the lamps may be kept burning’ (Exodus 27:20) The lamps represent the ‘seven spirits of God’ (Revelation 4:5) that burn continually and eternally before the…

    Prostration

“The twenty- four Elders fell down before him and worshiped him, the Eternal Living One, and cast their crowns before the throne, singing.” (Revelation 4:10)

The Presence of the Lord can become so tangible and real that it overwhelms you. This causes us to fall prostrate at the Lord’s feet and worship Him. Daniel’s experience, When Daniel saw a…

    Dancing in the Spirit

“Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by drums and lyre.” (Psalms 149:3)

Dancing before the Lord is also a most Holy practice. The Word of God also instructs us to praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Psalms 150:4, “Praise him with the drums and dancing.…

The Clapping of Hands and Loud Shouting

“Come, everyone, and clap for joy! Shout triumphant praises to the Lord.” (Psalms 47:1)

The world practices the clapping of hands, but in reality, it is a Holy practice. We should practice the clapping of hands during our singing, worship, praise, etc. in adoration and appreciation to our…

    Lifting Up Holy Hands

“So I want men everywhere to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from sin and anger and resentment.” (1 Timothy 2:8)

During our Church services, there should be demonstrations and manifestations of the Spirit. This is normal. As sons, of the Most High God, we are to praise and lift up our hands to God.…

    Individual Prayer

“Then all the believers united in this prayer: O Lord, Creator of heaven and earth and of the sea and everything in them.” (Acts 4:24)

This is also very important. A time set aside for private or individual prayer. This is where you pour out your heart to God in prayer. Revelation 19:6 “Then I heard again what sounded…

    Singing in the Spirit

“Don't drink too much wine, for many evils lie along that path; be filled instead with the Holy Spirit and controlled by him. 19 Talk with each other much about the Lord, quoting psalms and hymns and singing sacred songs, making music in your hearts to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:18-19)

This is very spiritual and you must sing in the Holy Spirit. As you sing, you sing unto the Lord. It is the outflow of the spirit filled experience. This is not singing to…
