Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

“And let them also be tried and investigated and proved first; then, if they turn out to be above reproach, let them serve [as deacons]” 1 Timothy 3:10 Amplified

Make Your Pastor’s Job Easier (Part 3)

“In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. [He that] sweareth to [his own] hurt, and changeth not.” Psalm 15:4

Make sure that you fit before you commit. I would encourage you to really pray before making a major commitment. Many people commit to serving in an area before really praying and thinking it…

Make Your Pastor’s Job Easier (Part 2)

“2 So the Twelve called a meeting of the disciples. They said, "It wouldn't be right for us to abandon our responsibilities for preaching and teaching the Word of God to help with the care of the poor.6:3 So, friends, choose seven men from among you whom everyone trusts, men full of the Holy Spirit and good sense, and we'll assign them this task. 6:4 Meanwhile, we'll stick to our assigned tasks of prayer and speaking God's Word.” Acts 6:2-4 (MSG)

It is not good for you that your Pastor is worn out by Sunday. This is a very important day not only for the church but for you as an individual. Your Pastor must…

    Hold Up Your Pastor’s Arms!

“12 But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.” Exodus 17:12, 13

    Be Part of the Solution!

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here [am] I; send me” Isaiah 6:8

Make every effort to be part of the solution. For example, when the service starts, there are not enough people to help in children church, the car park, security and so forth. We therefore…

    Back Your Pastor’s Vision!

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.” Proverbs 28:20

One reason pastors don’t always go for a great idea is, people often have great ideas, but they’ll bail out of it after three months and the church gets stuck running it. Often we…

Get Involved in the Helps Ministry!

“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, [ye are] God's building” 1 Corinthians 3:9

It’s important that you do what helps your Pastor the most and not just what you think he needs. A great way to be a blessing to your church is to serve in the…
