Back Your Pastor’s Vision!

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.”
Proverbs 28:20

One reason pastors don’t always go for a great idea is, people often have great ideas, but they’ll bail out of it after three months and the church gets stuck running it.

Often we must prove ourselves faithful before the church leadership will accept our ideas. The best thing you can do is make yourself available for any position, whatever help is needed. Often you will start out in one area of helps ministry, but end up somewhere else.

You may have a great heart to be in one position but if there’s not an opening yet, I believe God will honor your act of obedience and willingness to help, even if your area of service is not your ultimate desire.

You should be honest with your leaders by letting them know what you really have a heart for, but that you are open and willing to do something else for now if there is a need. Never look at your job as ‘just children ministry’ or ‘just youth ministry’. You are making a difference and changing lives! As you are faithful in one area expect God to promote you.
