Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

Begin to Agree with God’s Word!

“Can two walk together, except they agree” Amos 3:3

Choose to agree with God’s Word. You are what God says you are. You have what God’s Word say you have. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Through the blood…

    Be a Radical Giver!

“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” Luke 6:37, 38

It is no accident that the Word ‘forgive’ comes from the word ‘give’. Jesus taught both principles together. ‘Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you’ (Luke 6:37,…

You Are in a Place of Abundance!

“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.” Psalm 66:12

Three powerful verses in Proverbs 11 remind us of the ageless principles of giving. First, you cannot outgive God (Proverbs 11:24) If you give freely, you will gain even more! Giving is the way…

God Has Given You a Mantle!

“For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.” Psalm 61:5

Your spiritual inheritance is the most important thing you possess. The daughters of Zelophehad demanded their inheritance (Numbers 27:4) They refused to let any factor stand in their way of possessing what their father…

    The God of Victory!

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

God is a God of Victory. The Church is not on the defensive, but has a banner of victory to display. ‘For those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled…

    Be Faithful and Fearless!

“Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.” Psalm 45:3

Can there be any doubt that the Psalmist was referring to Jesus. The disciples were ‘astonished’ (Mark 10:32) at the fearless, bold approach Jesus made on the way to Jerusalem as He walked straight…

    An Opportunity to Increase!

“And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, Mar 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.” Mark 10:29, 30

Money is a central heart issue in the Gospel. The rich young ruler (Mark 10:17) made a profession of Faith, but his money did not follow. Promises of love and discipleship to Jesus are…

    The Word Is Near You!

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” Romans 10:8

The command of Faith in the mouth of Jesus was astounding. With three words, ‘Quiet, Be Still’ (Mark 4:39) an entire storm broke and the violence of death was stilled. The Word of God…

    Be Wise!

“The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.” Psalm 37:29

‘He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son’ (Proverbs 10:5) Harvest is a time of high motivation, a time when all the…

    Overcoming Opposition!

“The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.” Proverbs 10:3

Handling opposition is difficult, especially if the opposition is from those you love. Jesus faced opposition continually, even from those in His own family who said, ‘He is out of his mind’ (Mark 3:21).…

    Jesus Is Your Guilt Offering!

“And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.” Mark 2:15

Guilt does not simply go away. The modern method of denying guilt just postpones it until a later day. Repressed and denied guilt will always surface in anger, bitterness, rejection and failure. God knows…

He Always Lives to Intercede for Us!

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25

The high Priest was anointed by the pouring of oil upon his head. In Aaron’s case, it was an amount so profuse that it ‘ran down on Aaron’s beard, down upon the collar of…
