Be a Radical Giver!

“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”
It is no accident that the Word ‘forgive’ comes from the word ‘give’. Jesus taught both principles together. ‘Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you’ (Luke 6:37, 38) The Spirit of forgiveness and giving are opposite from the spirits of the devil. People in the world lash out at anyone who mistreats or abuses them.
Jesus said, ‘Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil…Rejoice in that day and leap for joy’ (Luke 6:22, 23). He encouraged His disciples to ‘love…do good…bless…pray for’ those who mistreat you. In the same phrase He said, ‘Give to everyone who asks you’ You are called to be God’s channel of mercy.
He wants to use you to pour His Grace and Blessing upon the world. You must not block that flow through unforgiveness and stinginess. You must let forgiveness and giving flow! God will bless with ‘a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over’. Give and forgive for ‘your reward will be great’
