Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Spirit’s Clear Mandate to Apostle Paul

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles [as the good news—the way of salvation], I did not immediately consult with anyone [for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me]. Nor did I [even] go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to Damascus” Gal 1 v15-17

    Why Do I Give?

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Philippians 4v19

We not only honor him through our giving, but we also demonstrate our faith in his ability to provide for us. There is no way we can outgive God. Therefore, we need to gi…

Identify a Need and Meet the Need

“For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things.” Romans 15v27

There was a need amongst the people of Jerusalem and the people from Macedonia and Achaia saw the need. They then decided to meet that need by sowing towards the need of …

    Give in Faith

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2v26

Faith without works cannot be called faith. “Faith without works is dead” (2:26), and a dead faith is worse than no faith at all. Faith must work; it must produce; it mus…

    Give of your Increase

“And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am Jehovah your God.” Leviticus 19v25

God has given us the power to get wealth and increase in our finances and our material resources. Hence, he also watches over how we handle what he gives us, to see how f…

    Put Pressure on Fear

“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” 2 Timothy 1v7

Fear is the opposite of faith. We were never created to fear, yet fear has become a part of our lives from the very beginning. We were told by our parents, “be careful”, …

    Weak Faith to Strong Faith

““I tell you truthfully, I have not found such great faith [as this] with anyone in Israel. I say to you that many [Gentiles] will come from east and west, and will sit down [to feast at the table, and enjoy God’s promises] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven [because they accepted Me as Savior],” Matthew 8v10

Jesus was talking about the centurion who showed great faith when he said to Jesus, only say the word and my servant will be healed. This man had great faith, he understo…

    Watch your Words

“For by your words [reflecting your spiritual condition] you will be justified and acquitted of the guilt of sin; and by your words [rejecting Me] you will be condemned and sentenced.”” Matthew 12v37

What we say, is what we get. We have to guard the way we speak, we have to ensure that the words that come out of our mouth are words that build and not break. Our words …

Put on the Armour of God

“As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might; put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil, because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places; because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done--to stand.” Ephesians 6v10-13

In a world of chaos and disorder, the general response is for us to go on the attack or on the defense. God’s word says all we need to do is stand and put on the whole ar…

    Power for Victory

“In Caesarea there lived a Roman army officer named Cornelius, who was a captain of the Italian Regiment. He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God. One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said.” Acts 10v1

Cornelius was a Roman army officer, a man who was not in covenant with God. However, he had a heart which was God fearing. It was not his works that got him saved, no, Th…

    Overwhelming Faith

“And oh, my dear Timothy, guard the treasure you were given! Guard it with your life. Avoid the talk-show religion and the practiced confusion of the so-called experts. People caught up in a lot of talk can miss the whole point of faith. Overwhelming grace keep you!” 1 Timothy 6v20

Jesus says, without faith it is impossible to please God. He that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Notic…

    Anointing for Miracles

“You brought Israel out of Egypt with mighty signs and wonders, with a strong hand and powerful arm, and with overwhelming terror. You gave the people of Israel this land that you had promised their ancestors long before—a land flowing with milk and honey.” Jeremiah 32v21

Oh, the life of a believer is a life of miracles and power. We were born to live a super natural life. We need never be depressed or oppressed by the devil. We are God’s …

    The Anointing Brings Healing

“But Peter, along with John, stared at him intently and said, “Look at us!” And the man began to pay attention to them, eagerly expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have; but what I do have I give to you: In the name (authority, power) of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—[begin now to] walk and go on walking!” Then he seized the man’s right hand with a firm grip and raised him up. And at once his feet and ankles became strong and steady, and with a leap he stood up and began to walk; and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.” Acts 3v4-8

The Apostle Peter called out to the man to look at them. Why? When he looked, he was making a demand on the anointing on the lives of Peter and John. The anointing and po…
