Put on the Armour of God
Pastor Wesley & Yajhna Sing · 2 min read
“As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might; put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil, because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places; because of this take ye up the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the day of the evil, and all things having done--to stand.”
In a world of chaos and disorder, the general response is for us to go on the attack or on the defense. God’s word says all we need to do is stand and put on the whole armour of God. We have a shield of faith – to counteract the arrows of the devil.
A breastplate of righteousness – we have been made righteous through Jesus.
We have a helmet of salvation – to guard our thoughts against the attack of the enemy
We have our feed shod with the gospel of peace – peacefully sharing the gospel wherever we go.
What you need for the day, already has been provided by grace in salvation, our faith takes a hold of what we need to protect ourselves for the day.
The Holy Spirit is our protector so he protects us throughout the day from the onslaught of the enemy. God forward and pursue your God given calling relentlessly. You are guaranteed to win in this life.
