Faith Chronicles

A month of daily readings, written by Dr RJ Sing for his church every month from 2007 until his passing in 2024. Pastor Zubeda Sing wrote alongside him, and she continues them today. Each reading has its scripture, the teaching, a confession and the day's Bible reading plan.

In 2021 and 2022 he also wrote daily messages for believers in business and at work — the Marketplace, kept with the rest of his writing on his own site.

The Fruit of Joy

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” Jude 1v24-25

10 Reasons to Speak in Tongues – Part 2

“But you, dear friends, must build up your lives ever more strongly upon the foundation of our holy faith, learning to pray in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.” (Jude 1:20)

Reason No. 6: Speaking in Tongues helps you walk in love and eradicates selfishness from your life. 1 Corinthians 14:4 – Your spirit prays and not your mind. Reason No. 7: The seventh reason…

10 Reasons to Speak in Tongues – Part 1

“I thank God that I speak in tongues privately more than any of the rest of you.” (1 Corinthians 14:18)

Let us consider reasons why every believer should speak in Tongues. Reason No. 1: The Word of God teaches it: Acts 2:4 “And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking…

The Importance of Speaking in Tongues – Part 4

“We are told in the ancient Scriptures that God would send men from other lands to speak in foreign languages to his people, but even then they would not listen. 22 So you see that being able to "speak in tongues" is not a sign to God's children concerning his power, but is a sign to the unsaved. However, prophecy (preaching the deep truths of God) is what the Christians need, and unbelievers aren't yet ready for it. “” (1 Corinthians 14:21-22)

Tongues for a Sign, The people had overheard the disciples as they were filled with the Spirit and spoke with other Tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. 1 Corinthians 14:21-22 is a good…

The Importance of Speaking in Tongues – Part 3

“For if I pray in a language I don't understand, my spirit is praying, but I don't know what I am saying.” (1 Corinthians 14:14)

When you pray in Tongues, it is a supernatural way to magnify God. There is a life of the natural, and also a life of the supernatural. Speaking in Tongues is the door into…

The Importance of Speaking in Tongues – Part 2

“So a person "speaking in tongues" helps himself grow spiritually, but one who prophesies, preaching messages from God, helps the entire church grow in holiness and happiness.” (1 Corinthians 14:4)

Can you see that? That means that as you speak in other Tongues you can edify yourself, encourage and build yourself up. The subject I am now addressing is quite comprehensive. However, I am…

The Importance of Speaking in Tongues – Part 1

“And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in languages they didn't know, for the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.” (Acts 2:4)

Tongues are the initial evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. I cannot imagine a believer living his Christian life, not speaking in other Tongues. This is so necessary and vital to live…

What Does It Mean to Fully Believe? – Part 3

“You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

You must believe that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seeks Him. Believe that it is the Will of God, to give what He has promised. 1 John 3:22 “Afterwards Jesus and…

What Does It Mean to Fully Believe? – Part 2

“On the last day, the climax of the holidays, Jesus shouted to the crowds, if anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water shall flow from the inmost being of anyone who believes in Me. 39 He was speaking of the Holy Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in Him; but the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet returned to His Glory in Heaven.” (John 7: 37-39)

We are to believe that all the promises of God are Yea and Amen! This is what it means to fully believe. 2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV “For all the promises of God in Him…

What Does It Mean to Fully Believe? – Part 1

“We boldly say what we believe, trusting God to care for us, just as the psalm writer did when he said, I believe and therefore I speak.” (2 Corinthians 4:13)

We are to walk and operate fully in the realm of faith. And as you believe with your heart you will be tested. This is when you take the Word and launch your counter…

Dare to Declare – Part 4

“My son, never forget the things I've taught you. If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions. 3 Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart.” (Proverbs 3:1 – 3)

The three acts in Proverbs 3:3 are the three secrets for obtaining favor with God and man. No.1, Let not mercy and truth forsake you. No.2, Bind them around your neck and No.3, Write…

Dare to Declare – Part 3

“For he has rescued us out of the darkness and gloom of satan's kingdom and brought us into the Kingdom of His dear Son, 14 Who bought our freedom with His blood and forgave us all our sins.” (Colossians 1:13-14)

This is bold confession. A confession that is radical and militant. When you take this type of stand you become a mighty warrior. This is carrying war over to the enemy’s tent. This is…

Dare to Declare – Part 2

“Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

You have to read this scripture and take hold of it. You have to say, ‘This is mine’. You have to confess it before the world. What a life! You have to speak the…
